Selected by administrators to represent students in local district; attended biweekly meetings and advocate for student causes, particularly issues facing marginalized groups 

• In response to reactions of concern & angst from the parent community regarding Critical Race Theory, I spoke at the meetings to shed light on what CRT actually is, showing that learning about race is a crucial part of student education, not just “indoctrination.” I shared my personal perspective of student of color

• Spoke on later start times for school, which was an initiative from parents 

• Spoke out on the lack of fair treatment for boys vs. girls sports - predominantly female extracurriculars were not given equitable practice time & space / resources
