Redefy

I was selected by team directors to serve as the assistant director of journalism on New Jersey's chapter of Redefy. Redefy is an international social justice nonprofit organization aiming to address intolerance and advocate on behalf of marginalized communities through inclusive outreach. We often respond to current events by holding discussions to generate engagement and awareness, providing thought-provoking conversations.

We have organized conferences, panels, and discussions on a variety of current events, including:

• Midyear conference featuring a panel on environmental activism and sustainability, as well as one on period stigma

• Zoom discussion about the rising hate crimes against the AAPI community during 2021

• Social media discussion concerning the Capitol Insurrection on January 6th, 2021
